Nathan Fagan is an award-winning Irish writer and director. A two-time IFTA nominee, his films have received awards and nominations at film festivals all over the world. 

His multi award-winning short film, Flicker, which he co-directed with Luke Daly, picked up the Grand Prix Award at the Cork International Film Festival. It was subsequently long-listed for an Oscar and nominated for an Irish Film & Television Award (IFTA). His short film, Skin to Skin, premiered on Nowness, won Best Short Film at the Emerging Director Awards (EDA) and was nominated for a Cannes YDA.

His next short film, Mud Queen, won the Audience Award at the 2023 Dublin International Film Festival. It was later shortlisted for an Iris Prize, receiving a special mention from the jury.

Most recently, his short documentary, Inside, The Valley Sings, was the recipient of the Film Project Award from the Arts Council of Ireland. It premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest and has screened at numerous festivals worldwide.

Alongside his film work, he has also directed commercial and branded content for An Post, SuperValu, Cadbury’s, AIG, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Universal Music Ireland. He has also directed music videos for artists such as: Walking on Cars, Kitt Phillipa, JyellowL and Gavin James. His commercial work has been recognised with multiple awards and nominations at the Kinsale Sharks and ICAD awards. He frequently directs solo or as part of a duo, alongside Luke Daly.

He currently has multiple feature screenplays in development. His feature film, Spindrift, was selected for the renowned Less is More (LIM) European feature film development lab, in partnership with Le Groupe Ouest. Spindrift is currently in development with Screen Ireland.
